Books can take you to other worlds, other times and other perspectives. In this book club, you'll read and discuss world literature in English and explore how stories can broaden your view of the world. A package for students who enjoy reading and enjoy engaging in discussion.

What will you do?

In the form of a book club, you'll discuss classic and contemporary books that have found their way from the region in which they were written to the rest of the world. During the sessions, you'll share reading experiences, discuss cultural perspectives and engage in conversation about themes related to the Sustainable Development Goals. Together with students from different courses, you'll reflect on the impact literature has on people, society and the world.

What will you learn?

You'll learn to read critically and to articulate your insights clearly in conversation with others. You'll also develop empathy, intercultural awareness and the ability to take different perspectives seriously. In doing so, you'll strengthen not only your analytical skills, but also your open-mindedness towards stories and viewpoints that differ from your own.
