Clothing is about much more than style. Behind every garment lies a story of raw materials, production, transport, and consumption. In this programme, you will discover how the fashion industry operates and explore the social, environmental, and ethical choices that shape it. You will learn to make more informed decisions about clothing and understand the impact of those choices.

What will you do?

You will explore the world behind fashion, from fast fashion to fair fashion, and from raw material to shop shelf. You will do this through creative workshops, practical assignments, and meetings with professionals from the fashion industry. You will discuss values, consumer behaviour, and societal impact while connecting theory with current real-world examples. Together with fellow students, you will reflect on your own choices and discover the role you can play in creating a more sustainable fashion industry.

What will you learn?

You will learn to recognise and explain the social and environmental impact of the clothing industry. In addition, you will develop a deeper understanding of your own values and consumer behaviour. You will learn how to communicate and justify your values and choices respectfully and confidently. In doing so, you will develop both sustainable thinking and sustainable action, preparing you for your role as a future professional.
