Would you like to help shape the future of education at HZ? In this activity, you'll work together with other students on real educational challenges.

What will you do?

You'll work in a multidisciplinary innovation team on current educational issues brought in by various courses. You'll gather insights, speak with stakeholders and explore different perspectives. Together, you'll then develop a concrete product, process or other solution that contributes to the issue. You'll also actually test this on behalf of a course.

What will you learn?

You'll learn to think critically, analyse information and develop innovative solutions. You'll also learn to assess viewpoints, facts and plans by asking targeted questions, comparing different sources and making well-founded choices. You'll develop teamwork skills and discover how your student perspective can contribute to genuine educational innovation.

Kristie Visser

Social impact
Social impact

2.1 Critical thinking
The student assesses viewpoints, facts or plans by asking questions and comparing sources.

5.2 Creativity
The student outlines and develops original and innovative ideas and solutions for challenges and problems, even when this is unconventional.

Students:

  • Critically reflect on educational issues by asking relevant questions, examining assumptions, and substantiating viewpoints, plans and facts with appropriate and varied sources (teacher perspective, student perspective, programme perspective, literature);
  • Design creative and innovative solutions that address the educational issue, thinking outside existing frameworks where relevant;
  • Develop ideas into a concrete and usable product, process or prototype that adds value for the client;
  • Collaborate within an innovation team, including dividing roles, giving and receiving feedback, and making joint decisions;
  • Make recommendations to the programme regarding their product and how it can be further developed or used in future.

  • 4. Quality education
