Would you like to use sport and physical activity to make a difference for others? In this programme, you will design and organise an inclusive physical activity for a vulnerable target group in the local community. You will work on creating social impact while learning how to apply your strengths in a practical setting.

What will you do?

You will explore a societal issue and, together with your team, translate it into a suitable sports or physical activity intervention. In doing so, you will take into account the target group, the local context, and collaboration with community partners. You will design, plan, organise, and deliver the activity, and afterwards evaluate its impact. Throughout the process, you will reflect on your role, your decisions, and the team’s collaboration.

What will you learn?

You will learn how to translate societal challenges into concrete and accessible activities. In addition, you will develop skills in collaboration, organisation, communication, and professional conduct. You will discover how movement and engagement can be used to create sustainable impact within the local community.

Structure of the activity "Move Makers"

Hicham Nabil

Social impact
Social impact

1.1 Inner compass
The student contributes to societal impact by formulating personal goals and takes responsibility for their own choices and actions in carrying these out.

4.1 Inclusive mindset and skills
The student embraces diversity and demonstrates this by communicating effectively and collaborating respectfully with people from different backgrounds or perspectives.

The student analyses a societal issue and, working in a team, designs, organises, implements and evaluates an accessible, safe and inclusive sport or physical activity intervention for a vulnerable target group, taking into account the characteristics of the target group, societal impact and collaboration with relevant partners, and reflects, with substantiation, on their own professional practice and learning process.
