How can you contribute to resilience in your environment? Resilience is about more than standing firm. It's also about setting boundaries, dealing with setbacks and helping others become stronger. In this package, you'll explore your own resilience and translate these insights into an activity through which you'll also inspire others to take action.

What will you do?

Over the course of seven weeks, you'll work on mental, physical and social resilience. You'll explore your own norms, values and reactions in challenging situations and learn how to recognise and safeguard boundaries. In doing so, you'll focus on self-defence, emotion regulation, de-escalation and dealing with setbacks. You'll then develop an activity through which you introduce others to resilience and how it can be strengthened.

What will you learn?

You'll learn what resilience means on a physical, mental and social level and how your behaviour influences yourself and others. You'll also develop skills in self-reflection, boundary-setting, emotion regulation and leadership. In doing so, you'll work on developing a resilient mindset as well as the ability to support others in doing the same.

Behaviour in potentially (dangerous) conflict situations, de-escalation, preparing for such situations, dealing with these situations, and processing the situation afterwards (including emotionally).

  • The student is able to recognise and acknowledge their own behaviour with regard to resilience.
  • The student is able to recognise and acknowledge their own behaviour and thoughts with regard to emotion regulation and personal effectiveness.
